8th–11th grade students: write about a local Natomas business, get published on the chamber website, and earn community service hours.

Every submission will be published on the Natomas Chamber of Commerce website for the community to read.
Community Service Hours
Participating students receive community service and volunteer hours upon completion of the program.
Certificate of Participation
Students are recognized with a Certificate of Participation presented at a Natomas Chamber meeting or event.

7-Eleven is a Natomas convenience store and gas station, open 24 hours for quick snacks, drinks, and gas whenever the community needs them. Written by Asher Plouff.

North Natomas Jibe: Building a Greener Community One Ride at a Time

The Summer Writing & Journalism Program is designed to give Natomas students a meaningful way to engage with their community while developing real writing and journalism skills. Students select a local business, research it, and write a short feature that will be shared with the broader Natomas community through the Chamber website.
The goal is to highlight the businesses that make Natomas great, while giving student voices a platform and real publishing credit. This is a program for aspiring writers and journalists, students who want community service hours, and anyone curious about the businesses in their own backyard.
