Thoughts & Memories

It wasn't until this year that through my work efforts I had the pleasure in getting to meet Harjit. Harjit was very helpful and his can-do attitude was one that was nice to work with! I was looking forward to future collaborations. I am sad to hear this news and know he had so much more to give to his community. Sending condolences to his family, community and all that had the pleasure in working with Harjit.

To: The family and friends of Harjit, My deepest and sincere condolences. I was just getting to know Harjit since joining the Chamber, however it did not take long to see is dedication to the community and his family. He had a smile that would light up a room and was always so willing to help others. Rest well.

Harjit, It seems unreal that you are gone. You were such an amazing and inspiring person. Your willingness to help others was always truly appreciated. You can always be counted on if someone needed help. I will cherish the memories we had together. I wish we could have made more but Heaven was calling you. It’s too soon that you left and I know your legacy will live on. We will all celebrate your life for the kind and great human being that you were. Your memory will live on as this tree blossoms and grows. Your life was a blessing, your memory a treasure, you are loved beyond words and missed beyond measure. Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, love leaves a memory no one can steal. May your soul rest in peace.
As a newer board member I was only beginning to get to know Harjit but from the time I did get to spend with him I was so impressed with what he had accomplished at such a young age! He was kind and always smiling. I had just sat next to him the week before at a meeting and it is just so hard to believe he is gone. As a board we will step up and try to fill his shoes and make him proud! Harjit, thank you for being such a great example of what hard work and kindness can do! You made such a difference in this world!
All I can see is Harjit looking down on us with his sweet quiet smile from the HUGE lift taking our giant ornaments from us as we hand them up to him, and raising them up to the top of the Christmas Tree for our Chamber Christmas event for the kids. Hard working and always helpful, Harjit was just an amazing person. I remember him walking into my office bringing us Chamber mommies a rose on Mother's Day. Harjit is someone who made us a better Chamber, better business owners, and better people. My heart goes to his family and us friends, but know he's in a better place. I am honored to have worked with him and to call him my friend.
In the time I spent with Harjit, it was clear that he was a remarkable individual. His entry into the Real Estate field was marked by an enthusiastic energy and unwavering confidence that left a lasting impression on those around him. His presence could illuminate any room he entered, filling it with positivity and camaraderie. As he continued to navigate his career, Harjit's experiences allowed him to cultivate his positive outlook on life further. He embraced challenges as opportunities for growth and learning, consistently pushing himself to achieve new heights. His dedication to his craft was matched only by his commitment to living life on his terms – a true free spirit who believed in shaping his destiny. I find myself reminiscing about the moments I shared with Harjit. His absence is deeply felt, a void that serves as a reminder of the impact he made on those fortunate enough to know him. Through the memories and stories we carry, his spirit lives on, a beacon of light and inspiration that continues to guide us. Harjit, my friend, your memory lives on in the hearts of all touched by your infectious positivity and zest for life. Until we meet again, may your journey be as vibrant as the legacy you've left behind.

Harjit was the person I called when I needed something done. He showed up every single time. He was committed to his community, generous and kind. We spent 10+ hours decorating the Christmas tree for the Chamber's Annual Tree Lighting last November. He stayed to finish the job when everyone else had to leave. In May, he had text me for the work the addresses of all the ladies on the Board so we could deliver roses to them in appreciation of Mother's Day. He was so kind to my boys; I remember one night late after Roll Call he patiently watched Liam's magic/card tricks. I could go on and on. We will miss you, Harjit.

The first time I met Harjit was in the parking lot of a Chamber board meeting. As I'm stepping out of my minivan, Harjit comes rumbling up on his Harley. Removing his helmet, he introduces himself and leads the way into Alyssa's office. My first thought was 'who is this guy? A young, retired tech millionaire?' The way he spoke, and carried himself, I felt instantly at ease. He was so sure of himself. I miss him. This quote from A. A. Milne brings me comfort during times of loss... "How lucky I am to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard."

From everyone at the chamber, we miss you Harjit.
