1600 block of Arden Way
Officers responded to reports of a shooting in the area where someone was shooting towards a vehicle. All involved persons and associated vehicles fled the area before officers arrived on scene. Patrol officers conducted an investigation which included a canvass for video evidence. Officers were able to quickly obtained quality video evidence from Arden Fair Mall which captured vital information related to the incident that occurred near the mall. Officers broadcast the suspect descriptions and vehicle information to all patrol staff and surrounding agencies. The next day, Sheriff deputies conducted a traffic stop on the related vehicle that included three people matching the suspect descriptions in the vehicle. Patrol officers, felony assault detectives, and violent crime reduction officers immediately conducted a follow up investigation to include taking statements and writing a residential search warrant to collect evidence of the crime. The investigation revealed that nobody was injured in the shooting and we obtained a confession from the person responsible for the shooting. The shooter was arrested as well as another individual who had an out of state warrant for his arrest.
1800 block of North Ave
Officers were conducting an investigation into a subject observed on social media with several illegal firearms. They conducted criminal surveillance and conducted a stop away from the area and detained several people. Officers then returned to the residence and conducted a probation search. 2 firearms were seized during the probation search. One person was arrested for the firearms and another was arrested for an outstanding arrest warrant.
3200 block of Northstead Drive
Officers were investigating a domestic violence call where the victim told the police the suspect was in possession of a handgun The suspect fled the scene with the children. As Officers were taking the report the victim advised the suspect and her kids were back at their residence based on current ring camera footage. Officers responded to that location and located the suspect. During a search of the suspect Officers located a firearm on him.
700 block of Darina Ave
A female called advising her ex-girlfriend was on scene and pulled a gun on her. Upon officers arriving, the suspect took off on foot, tossing a firearm in the process before being taken into custody. While the suspect was being taken into custody, the victim tried preventing the Officers from arresting the suspect. Both were taken into custody and booked.
