These are the most recent significant arrests / incidents in Police Districts 1 and 2:
Indecent Exposure – 3600 block of Truxel Road
Saturday, December 20th at 8:01 p.m.
A male suspect entered a business and exposed himself to multiple employees. Officers completed a thorough canvas in the area and the investigation is ongoing.
Vehicle Pursuit – Norwood Avenue and Lindley
Saturday, December 20th at 11:21 p.m.
A graveyard patrol officer initiated a traffic stop on a motorcycle for a violation. The driver (suspect) fled from officers and a vehicle pursuit was initiated. The suspect traveled recklessly and officers lost sight of him.
Business Burglary – 3900 block of Research Drive
Saturday, December 21st 4:41 a.m.
Officers responded to a business due to a ringing alarm. Responding officers determined that a burglary occurred and the suspect(s) stole approximately $10,000 in merchandise. A thorough canvas was completed and the investigation is ongoing.
Explosive Ordinance Disposal Response – 2500 block of Dale Avenue
Saturday, December 21st at 7:24 a.m.
Officers responded to a residence due to a report of a propane tank looking suspicious in nature, due to wires attached to the top of the tank. Our Explosive Ordinance Disposal Unit responded to assess the device. Officers determined that the device was a homemade space heater and there was not a threat of any explosives.
Domestic Violence Incident and Foot Pursuit – 2600 block of River Plaza Drive
Saturday, December 21st at 12:58 p.m.
Officers responded to a residence due to a domestic violence incident. The male suspect fled the scene prior to officers arriving. After establishing that a domestic violence crime occurred, officers left the scene to later document the circumstances on a crime report. Dispatch later received an additional call from the residence due to the suspect returning. Responding officers attempted to contact the suspect and he fled on foot. Officers gave chase and safely detained the suspect, then arrested him on related charges.
Vehicle Pursuit – Arden Way and Heritage Lane
Saturday, December 21st at 4:45 p.m.
Officers located a stolen vehicle in the area after it traveled through a Police Observation Device. The driver (suspect) fled from officers after a female passenger was let out of the car. This female was later detained and a computer check showed her to have a felony warrant. The suspect fled from officers and traveled into the downtown area. The suspect was involved in a crash and then fled on foot. Officers were not successful in locating the suspect.
Auto Theft Arrest – Del Paso Boulevard and El Camino Avenue
Saturday, December 21st at 6:13 p.m.
Officers located a stolen vehicle in the area after it traveled through a Police Observation Device
Firearm Arrest – 2600 block of Gateway Drive
Sunday, December 22nd at 3:44 p.m.
Officers located a stolen vehicle after it traveled through a Police Observation Device. A traffic stop was initiated. The driver (suspect) was safely detained and found to be in possession of a firearm. The suspect was arrested for auto theft and firearm related charges.
Vehicle Pursuit – Winters Street and Interstate-80
Monday, December 23rd at 12:24 a.m.
Officers observed a driver (suspect) traveling recklessly in the area. Officers attempted to make a traffic stop. The suspect fled from officers and a vehicle pursuit was initiated. Due to the suspect traveling so recklessly, officers discontinued pursuing the vehicle.
Felony Assault Investigation – 2000 block of Morse Avenue
Tuesday, December 24th at 1:05 p.m.
Medical staff at a local hospital reported that a male adult patient was receiving treatment and was possibly injured during an assault. The male had life-threatening injuries. Responding officers completed extensive follow-up investigation on the initial information provided, including a canvas at the patient’s house. The investigation is ongoing.
Auto Theft Arrest – Marysville Boulevard and Los Robles Boulevard
Tuesday, December 24th at 3:34 p.m.
Officers located a stolen vehicle after it traveled through a Police Observation Device. A traffic stop was initiated and the driver was safely detained, then arrested for auto theft and for multiple outstanding felony warrants.
Shooting Investigation – 600 block of Lampasas Avenue
Wednesday, December 25th at 3:19 a.m.
Officers responded to the area due to a ShotSpotter activation. Responding officers completed a thorough canvas of the area. There were no reported injuries as a result of this ShotSpotter activation.
Shooting Investigation – 300 block of Wading River Way
Wednesday, December 25th at 3:57 a.m.
Officers responded to a residence in the area due to a report of a shooting. Responding officers located significant evidence that confirmed a shooting occurred. There were no reported injuries as a result of the shooting. Officers completed follow-up investigation and learned that the shooting happened during a house party.
Stabbing Investigation – 200 block of West El Camino Avenue
Wednesday, December 25th at 11:06 p.m.
A female and male had a disturbance that escalated and the female (suspect) stabbed the male victim with a knife. The victim was transported to a local hospital for non-life-threatening injuries. The suspect was the girlfriend of the victim, and she left the scene prior to officers arriving. The suspect has been identified, and the investigation is ongoing.
Shooting Investigation – 2300 block of Empress Street
Thursday, December 26th at 1:59 a.m.
Officers responded to an apartment due to a report of a wall being struck by gunfire. There were no reported injuries. Officers completed a thorough canvas and the investigation is ongoing.
