Shooting Investigation – 4400 block of Baumgart Way
Sunday, November 24th at 6:38 a.m.
Officers responded to a residence due to a report of a shooting. Responding officers determined that the house was struck by gunfire. There were no reported injuries as a result of the shooting. Officers completed a thorough canvas and the investigation is ongoing.
Grand Theft – 1600 block of Arden Way
Sunday, November 24th at 11:08 a.m.
Two female suspects walked into a business and stole $12,000 worth of merchandise and then exited the store. The suspects left in a vehicle prior to officers arriving. Officers completed follow-up on the initial information provided and the investigation is ongoing.
Vehicle Pursuit – Northgate Boulevard and San Juan Road
Sunday, November 24th at 10:00 p.m.
Officers responded to the area due to a sideshow. Officers observed a driver (suspect) traveling recklessly and initiated a traffic stop. The suspect fled from officers and a vehicle pursuit was initiated. Due to the suspect traveling recklessly, officers discontinued pursuing the suspect and a police helicopter continued to observe the vehicle. The suspect was later stopped in the south area by the Sacramento County Sherriff’s Office. Sacramento Police Officers responded and took custody of the suspect, then arrested him on related charges.
Shooting Investigation – 2400 block of Empress Street
Sunday, November 24th at 11:05 p.m.
Dispatch received a call of a shooting in the area. Responding officers located a male with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound. Officers completed a thorough canvas of the area and located significant evidence. The investigation is ongoing.
Shooting Investigation – 4400 block of Silverton Way
Sunday, November 24th at 11:54 p.m.
Dispatch received multiple reports of a shooting in the area. Responding officers contacted a male victim with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound. Officers learned that a second victim related to this shooting self-transported to the hospital. This victim also sustained a non-life-threatening gunshot wound. Officers completed follow-up investigation and located two firearms in a yard of a residence. Officers learned that these firearms were thrown over the fence into a neighboring yard, from where the shooting occurred. These firearms were seized, and the investigation is ongoing.
Robbery and Firearm Arrest – New Market Drive and East Commerce Way
Monday, November 25th at 10:17 p.m.
Officers responded to the area due to a taco truck being robbed at gunpoint. Officers determined that the suspect brandished a firearm and took cash from the victim, then fled in a vehicle. Officers completed follow-up investigation and located the suspect in the downtown area. The suspect was safely detained and in possession of a loaded handgun and cash (see photo). The suspect was arrested on related charges.
Shooting Investigation – New Market Drive and Natomas Boulevard
Wednesday, November 27th at 1:51 p.m.
Dispatch received multiple reports of a shooting in the area. Responding officers completed a thorough canvas and did not locate any shooting victims or evidence. Officers completed follow-up on the initial information and the investigation is ongoing.
Vehicle Pursuit – Carmelita Avenue and Rio Linda Boulevard
Wednesday, November 27th at 4:29 p.m.
A patrol officer observed a suspect driving a motorcycle and attempted to initiate a traffic stop, due to a violation. The suspect fled from the officer and a vehicle pursuit was initiated. The suspect drove recklessly, so the officer discontinued pursuing the suspect.
Robbery of a Business – 2800 block of Del Paso Road
Wednesday, November 27th at 7:07 p.m.
A business was robbed by multiple suspects. One suspect was armed with a gun. The suspects stole more than $100,000 in merchandise and then fled the store. Officers completed a thorough canvas of the area, and the investigation is ongoing.
Shooting Arrest – 4400 block of Baumgart Way
Wednesday, November 27th at 8:26 p.m.
A suspect drove by a residence and shot at the house. Officers initiated a traffic stop on the vehicle and the suspect was safely detained. He was in possession of a handgun (see photo). The suspect was arrested for the shooting and detectives responded to take over the investigation due to this suspect being responsible for additional shootings at this residence.
Stabbing Investigation – 900 block of Eleanor Avenue
Thursday, November 28th at 9:15 a.m.
A victim was stabbed and sustained a non-life-threatening injury. The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment. Responding officers completed a thorough canvas of the area and the investigation is ongoing.
Firearm Arrest – 1600 block of Arden Way
Friday, November 29th at 1:00 p.m.
Officers initiated a traffic stop in the area. The driver, on parole, was in possession of a loaded firearm (see photo). The suspect was safely detained and arrested on firearm charges and parole violation.
