Robbery Investigation – 2500 block of Colfax Street
Friday, July 19th @ 2:04 p.m.
After a vehicle collision, an adult male driver (suspect) of one vehicle got into an argument with the other driver (victim). The suspect robbed the other driver of his cell phone at gunpoint. Officers followed-up and developed leads which led to an arrest later in the same shift. (see below)

Robbery/Firearm Arrest – Arden Way & Challenge Way
Friday, July 19th @ 4:21 p.m.
Officers were alerted by a Police Observation Device (POD) that the vehicle involved in the above robbery was in the area. Officers safely detained both occupants in the area. A loaded handgun and other evidence was located leading to an arrest for related robbery charges from the incident on Colfax Street.

Theft – 4700 block of Natomas Boulevard
Saturday, July 20th @ 4:03 p.m.
Loss prevention reported known theft suspect(s) were inside a business. SPD arrived and safely detained all three subjects (suspects). The suspects were arrested on related charges.

Traffic Stop – Arden Way & Fairfield Street
Saturday, July 20th @ 7:33 p.m.
Officers conducted a vehicle stop for a traffic violation. The adult male driver received a citation for improperly carrying a loaded registered firearm.

Pursuit – 100 block of Estes Way
Saturday, July 20th @ 11:41 p.m.
Officers responding to a sideshow observed a reckless driver. They attempted an enforcement stop and the suspect vehicle fled. The suspect eventually pulled over and peacefully surrendered. A follow up investigation at a nearby residence led to the arrest of the driver and one additional person firearms violations.

Sunday, July 21st @ 1200 p.m.
Unity in the Community Event: Your north area officers were honored to be invited to the Robertson Community Center for this fun event.

Pursuit – Garden Highway & Northgate Boulevard
Sunday, July 21st @ 4:14 p.m.
Officers attempted to stop two subjects riding a minibike motorcycle. A short pursuit ensued toward the bike trail near the Arden Garden Connector and terminated due to conditions.

Vehicle Pursuit – Norwood Avenue & Lampasas Avenue
Sunday, July 21st @ 11:15 p.m.
Officers attempted to conduct an enforcement stop on a motorcycle. The rider fled on the bike, leading units on a vehicle pursuit. The subject was safely taken into custody without incident when he ran on foot from the motorcycle and attempted to hide. He was arrested for multiple charges to include pursuit, stolen motorcycle, a felony warrant and narcotics.

Stolen Vehicle – El Camino Avenue & Ethan Way
Tuesday, July 22nd @ 7:00 p.m.
Officers located a stolen vehicle and it immediately fled from officers. The vehicle travelled a short distance, was involved in a collision, and the driver fled on foot. The suspect was located a short while later and safely detained.

Shooting Investigation – 2900 block of Altos Avenue
Monday, July 22nd @ 10:00 p.m.
Officers responded to a ShotSpotter activation. Nothing appeared to have been struck and a thorough neighborhood canvas was conducted.

DUI Investigation – American Ave & Cleveland Avenue
Tuesday, July 23rd @ 3:55 a.m.
Officers responded to a two-car collision involving injury. A DUI investigation was completed.

Collision into a Building – 5500 Tres Piezas Drive
Tuesday, July 23rd @ 11:26 a.m.
A resident reported that an unknown vehicle crashed into their residence the night prior. Fire responded to insure there was no critical structural damage to the residence. A hit-and-run collision report was completed.

Death in Custody Investigation – 3600 block of Jasmine Street

Burglary – 1000 block of Fee Drive
Wednesday, July 24th @ 4:59 p.m.
Officers responded to a burglary to a business. A report was taken and forwarded to investigators.

Assault – 4200 block of Austin Street
Wednesday, July 25th @ 2:28 p.m.
Officers responded to the above location for a stabbing incident. The victim and suspect are known to each other, and the victim’s injuries were non-life-threatening. The suspect was eventually booked on related charges and a felony warrant.

Vehicle Pursuit – Rio Linda Boulevard & Santiago Avenue
Thursday, July 25th @ 10:59 p.m.
During a vehicle stop in progress, the driver decided to flee in the vehicle shortly after officers contacted the driver. A brief vehicle pursuit ensued and but was cancelled. A short time later the car was discovered to have been involved in a collision and none of the occupants remained on scene.

Reckless Driving – Norwood Avenue & Fairbanks Avenue
Thursday, July 25 @ 11:48 p.m.
Officers attempted to stop a reckless driver who was speeding. The driver did not yield to officers’ signal to pull over and led them on a short vehicle pursuit. When the driver finally pulled over, a DUI investigation was completed, and the suspect was taken to jail for pursuit and DUI related charges.

Felony Hit and Run – 3000 block of Del Paso Boulevard
Friday, July 26th @ 3:08 a.m.
Officers observed a car that was speeding but were unable to catch up with the reckless driver. The car was reported to have been in a vehicle collision a short time later. One person was still in the car and transported to the hospital. Additional occupants were not located and the vehicle was determined to be reported stolen.

Arrest – 800 block of El Camino Avenue
Friday, July 26th @ 354 hours
Officers responded to the above area for a possible arson. One man was contacted and arrested for his outstanding felony warrant – the arson was unfounded.
