Firearm Arrest – 1600 block of Arden Way
Friday, July 12th @ 4:39 p.m.
An officer was hailed by a family member regarding a known juvenile male possibly in possession of a firearm. The officer safely detained the juvenile and located a loaded handgun nearby. The juvenile was arrested for related charges.
Weapons Disturbance – 800 block of Lampasas Ave
Friday, July 12th @ 7:26 p.m.
Officers were dispatched to the above address regarding reports of a subject armed with a firearm. The person described on the call was detained without incident and a thorough investigation was completed to include a residential search warrant. Officers located a significant quantity of narcotics and ammunition. The suspect was taken to jail for related charges.
Casualty – Auburn Boulevard & Marconi Circle
Friday, July 12th @ 11:14 p.m.
Officers and the fire department responded to the above location regarding reports of a freight train that struck a pedestrian. The victim was located deceased at the scene and the incident was thoroughly documented.
Stolen Vehicle Arrest – Marysville Boulevard & Los Robles Boulevard
Saturday, July 13th @ 1:26 a.m.
Officers received a notification that a Police Observation Device (POD) scanned a stolen vehicle. The vehicle was located by responding units and the suspect was taken into custody without incident. The suspect was taken to jail for vehicle theft.
Vehicle Pursuit – 2600 block of Grove Ave
Saturday, July 13th @ 3:57 a.m.
Officers responded to the above location for a report of a possible shooting. During the investigation, one vehicle fled the area at a high rate of speed and led officers on a vehicle pursuit. The pursuit was cancelled, and ultimately officers found no evidence of a shooting back at the scene.
Injury Collision – San Juan Road & Truxel Road
Saturday, July 13th @ 12:47 p.m.
Officers responded to an injury collision involving a motorcycle and two vehicles. The motorcycle rider sustained serious injuries and was transported to the hospital. The roadway was closed in both directions while a traffic collision investigation was completed.
Suspicious Circumstances – 1400 block of Brewerton Drive
Saturday, July 13th @ 10:16 p.m.
Officers responded to the above address when callers reported the sounds of glass breaking at a vacant apartment and multiple subjects nearby. When officers arrived one subject fled on foot but was apprehended a short distance away. The subject (juvenile) was cited and released to his mother. The other subjects were unable to be located.

Arrest – Del Paso Boulevard & Forrest Street
Sunday, July 14th @ 7:47 a.m.
Officers responded to a report of a subject who vandalized two separate businesses and a parked car. While officers were enroute, several additional reports were received of the subject hitting passing vehicles with an object. Officers arrived and utilized Crisis Negotiation Techniques to deescalate the situation, and safely took the man into custody. He was ultimately arrested for assault and vandalism related charges.
Burglary – 2200 block of Northview Drive
Monday, July 15th @ 7:06 a.m.
Officers responded to a burglary in progress, and the suspect fled on foot from officers upon their arrival. The suspect surrendered peacefully to the commands given by an SPD K9 officer. The suspect was arrested for related charges.
Robbery Arrest – 3100 block of Callecita Street
Tuesday, July 16th @ 5:30 a.m.
A rideshare driver reported that a group of subjects assaulted him. Officers determined a robbery had occurred and completed an investigation. The area was searched, and officers located the suspect(s) who were arrested on related charges.
Vehicle Pursuit – Del Paso Blvd & Natomas Blvd
Wednesday, July 17th @ 7:58 a.m.
An SPD motor unit was conducting traffic enforcement in the area and was involved in a brief pursuit. The officer attempted to stop the car for a vehicle code violation when it fled. The pursuit was ultimately cancelled, and the driver was not located.
Retail Theft Arrest – 1600 block of Arden Way
Wednesday, July 17th @ 11:37 a.m.
Reports of a chronic retail theft suspect were received, and officers quickly responded and were able to detain the man. All the merchandize from today’s incident was recovered and the suspect was arrested on related charges.
Shooting investigation – 2800 block of Altos Avenue
Wednesday, July 17th @ 6:10 a.m.
Officers responded for multiple activations of the ShotSpotter detection system. Evidence of a shooting was located, but no injuries or property damage were noted.
Vehicle Pursuit – Branch Street & North Avenue
Wednesday, July 17th @ 7:03 p.m.
Motor Units were in the area working traffic enforcement and attempted to pull over a car that fled from their signal to stop. A passenger fled from the vehicle when it stopped briefly. Then car drove away and was involved in multiple vehicle collisions before becoming disabled. The adult driver was safely taken into custody and arrested for related charges and his outstanding felony warrant.
Vehicle Burglary – 1100 block of Del Paso Blvd
Thursday, July 18th @ 12:10 a.m.
Multiple vehicles were broken into, and property was taken from the cars. A canvass was competed as part of the investigation, and the incident was documented.
Robbery Report – 4200 block of Raley Boulevard
Thursday, July 18th @ 1:20 a.m.
A delivery driver reported two suspects stole property from his possession. The suspects ran off before police arrived. The victim was not injured. A robbery investigation was completed.
Firearm Arrest – 1300 block of Sonoma Avenue
Thursday, July 18th @ 5:39 p.m.
Officers responded to the above area to investigate a 911 call. During the investigation it was determined one of the involved parties was a convicted felon in possession of a loaded firearm. The man was arrested for related charges.
Domestic Violence – 600 block of Santiago Avenue
Thursday, July 18th @ 9:24 p.m.
Officers responded to a domestic violence incident and contacted both parties. One party was arrested for domestic violence related charges.
Warrant Arrest – Northfield Drive & Northview Drive
Thursday, July 18th @ 11:30 p.m.
Officers attempted to conduct an enforcement stop on a bicyclist. The man provided a false name and fled from officers. The AIR unit was nearby and surveilled the suspect who was eventually arrested without incident. The subject was arrested for multiple outstanding felony warrants.

Officers responded to a report of an illegal firework. The Emergency Ordinance Disposal unit responded and seized the item.
Assault Investigation – 3500 block of Northgate Blvd
Friday, July 19th @ 10:31 a.m.
A person experiencing homelessness was struck by another unhoused subject with a blunt object in the arm. The victim suffered a minor injury, and the suspect was arrested for assault.
